This forgiving grower forms tight, green rosettes and thrives in rock beds and containers. It produces lots of offsets on short stolons, quickly developing into a dense clump.
Also known as Hens & Chicks, this succulent needs plenty of outdoor sunlight to maintain its tight rosette shape. It thrives in gritty, well-draining soil and pots with drainage holes. It grows most in the spring and summer, benefiting from weekly watering and afternoon shade when temperatures exceed 80°F. This plant is incredibly frost-hardy and will happily thrive through winter. To prevent rot, protect it from heavy rains and standing water.
